Several days ago, I enjoyed the discussion about the Technorati effect for the traffic. One of the participants believes that the Technorati rank and authority is the main thing for increasing the traffic to the blog or site. Is that right…?

I am not really agreed with this statement. Technorati is important for sure, but it’s not the main thing for increasing the traffic. I would like to said that the Technorati is one of the traffic builder but not really work as you thing. I just recommend that you can increase your Technorati rank and authority with your own tricks, but never put this rank is your No.1 priority.

I am aware that some advertising program use Technorati rank for one of their measurement to evaluate the quality of the blog or site. Believe me, if you give your full attention to increase your Technorati rank by promoting or ask your friend to fave your blog or putting the Backlink on your friend blog ( in blogroll, partner list, etc ), its mean that you put your self in your own trap.

If you still priorities and increase your Technorati rank and authority, these are some tips for you…

1. Before you ask your friend to put your link on their blog, see their blog niche first. Its will useful for search engine rating purposes.

2. Ask your friend to put your link in their article ( if possible ) than putting in their blogroll or partner list, and used a nice anchor word for it. ( in the same time you increase your rating in the search engine ).

3. If your friend prefers to put your link in their blogroll or partner list, ask them to not use your name, but use your blog name.

4. If you not have a friend with the same niche blog, try to use forums to introduce your blog and ask for the cooperation there.

5. Create dummy blog as much as you can and put the link there.

6. if the above tips not work, create quality article and share it in social media or Social bookmarking.

7. if it’s not work too, just pry to the god… 

Hmmm… nice rank. I really surprise for my rank of alexa, I saw that my alexa rank increase today. I am really happy for that. This alexa rank is very useful for joining in several advertising program like text link ads, pay per post, and etc.

Seven month giving my effort to increase this rank. The alexa rank showing your traffic rank comparing with the other blog or site in the world. So, reaching rank 650.000 is wonderful for me meaning that my site or blog is included in good blog or site base on alexa measurement.

I am aware that I can reach this rank because of my SEO skill and tricks. I believe that my tricks are work and attracting the visitor or traffic showing by this rank. I will increase and improve my SEO and several tricks in the effort to get the better alexa rank for next month.

We know that the main point to attract the visitor or traffic to our blog is the article with high quality or have the necessary information for the readers. The question is how to write the quality article?

As a beginner, it’s not easy to write the quality and informative article. To create the quality article, there are some ways or methods to be done.

For the example, the quality of the article wrote by the student is not better than the quality of the article wrote by the professor. The point is the quality of the article written by the beginner is not better than the expert one. It’s happen because the beginner’s skill or knowledge is lower than the expert. We need to know that the expert comes from the beginner who knows a few about his niche/sector also, than become an expert after a lot of read, learn, and did the experiments. So… The beginner will be an expert if s/he want to learn and diligent.

The top secret for improving the skill and knowledge is reading and doing the experiment. In this virtual world ( internet ), there are a lot of source, article, and discussion or forums about anything and any sector. So, why not we use this facilities ( internet ) as the place to learn and doing some experiment.

First time I write the article for my blog, I really don’t know what to write and what kind of information could I give for the visitors or readers. After reading some articles in some blogs or sites, finally I wrote about something that I got from them. I really aware that I just forwarding the message or information which has been delivered by the other ( not the idea or thing that I understand ). But I won’t give up, I keep learn by reading the articles in the other persons blog or site. I understood about the important thing for blogging in step by step. After I know about the Ranks and reputation for the blog or site, I continue learning for improving the rating and popularity of my blogs by developing my skill and knowledge of the search engine optimization.

Reading, analyzing, and experimenting is the important or key step to become an expert in SEO. By this time, I am not only reading and experimenting about what the other said in their SEO article, but I analyze it and combine it with my knowledge to get better idea, solution or effective methods.

Don’t be afraid to try and false, the mistake is the first step of the success. By doing the experiment, we will know that the idea or instruction inside the article is work or useless. Don’t forget that the experience is the best teacher in the world.

In last one month, I spend lot of my time in Aceh Forum ( Indonesia language ) and other make money online forums. I found lot of knowledge by asking and sharing to the other. I am really happy with the feedback from the forums members especially for the traffic to my blog and site.

I still concentrate for my experiment and finding the trick for Backlink and Pagerank. I have red lot of article from the expert blog and site regarding increasing Backlink or PageRank. I still in the process and research for some tricks which I found from the other source ( expert’s article ).

Oke…. I am on my learning about SEO for Pagerank now. When we talk about Pagerank mean we are talking about link which is a basic measurement for Pagerank. Link is dividing into two parts, there are Backlink and Crosslink. Both of these links has their own usage and specific influence in increasing Pagerank.

Crosslink is very useful for sharing your Pagerank from one article to the other inside your blog or site and has his own tricks for SEO purposes. ( see ‘Increasing Pagerank with crosslink” for more detail ). Crosslink is also very easy to maintain.

Backlink is very useful for absorbing the other blog or site Pagerank for your blog or site, and has biggest important part here. Lot of tips and tricks can be used to get Backlink. ( see “Get Backlink with Your Own Control” for one of them ). Well…. This part is what I want to tell you …..

Lot of Backlink means high Pagerank ( if it’s possible, try to get quality one ). The link from the blog or site which has good Pagerank called quality Backlink, and quality Backlink is more useful than the number itself.

The easiest way is by leaving your comment in other blog comment field (without nofollow tag). But this method take lot of your time in checking the nofollow tag in the other blog before you leaves your comment, otherwise your effort with this tricks will be useless because lot of blog or site use nofollow tag in the comment field now.

One of the top tricks to increase the Backlink is using the blog directory or blog aggregator. In this method, the Crosslink will be a Backlink for your blog. Why it does can be like that?

Well…. For example, you write the article for your blog and putting the link to another article inside your own blog ( this link is your crosslink for your blog ). Then the blog aggregator bot will collect your article and putting into the blog aggregator article list or you can ping them. When the search engine spider crawl that blog aggregator, your crosslink ( before ) will be red as Backlink by the spider.

Normally, the blog aggregator will only show your first and second paragraph in their list ( it’s depend on the setting ), So…. Don’t miss this opportunity. Put some crosslink inside your article first and second paragraph with nice anchor word if you want to get Backlink and raise your search engine position for some keyword.

Remember; don’t ever try to put more than 3 Link inside one paragraph. This is very dangerous and risky for your Pagerank.

Who is not happy if his/her blog or site PageRank increase, that what happen to me now. Long time ( 7 months ) in waiting, giving the best effort and lot of experiment for Increasing Pagerank, and finally my blog got PageRank 2 from 0.

I really aware that the Pagerank very important to absorb the visitor or internet user to the blog or site. The higher Pagerank mean the earlier show in search engine result page ( SERP ). Pagerank is also one of the important things in SEO. It’s why I give my best effort in learning and researching with lot of way and method to increase it. Every blogger want his/her post or blog indexed in lot of search engine. But how to make the blog or article indexed or keep indexed by search engine?

First of all, to make your blog indexed, you must register or add your blog in the search engine like google, yahoo, etc. Then you need to wait for several days for search engine crawler collecting the information or data from your blog. To help the search engine spider in finding your niche, you can use Meta tag if you wish.

Now, to keep your article or post indexed in the search engine your need to do these following tips:

1. Put at least one link to the other post ( your previous post ) inside your new article

2. Submit your blog in blog directory as many as you can.

3. Ping the search engine or other service regularly ( once  a week )

4. Put your comment in other blogger blog ( Without nofollow tag ) with your name link to one of your post ( in the same time you create a Backlink for your blog )

Don’t forget to link between article in your blog for PageRank and indexing purposes…

That was lot of differences in interpretation for dummy blog for every blogger. In my understanding, the word of “dummy” in blogging almost has the same meaning with “supported”. That means the dummy blog is the supported blog which normally created for some purposes.

As we know that the professional blogger have more than one blog or site. I ever found that one blogger ( expert ) have around 40 blog and site running together ( I forgot his name ). The question is why they make or create lot of blog? What the reason or benefit from having lot of blog or site?

In the first time of their ( expert blogger who operating lot of blog ) only have one blog. Then they create another blog ( dummy blog ) to support his first blog ( primary blog ) by giving the Backlink from his second blog ( dummy blog ). He only need to put several post ( 1-5 post ) in their dummy blog which has relevant topic or issue with his primary blog ( first blog ). Then he create another dummy blog ( third blog ) with maybe for publishing some product which have relevant niche with his primary/first blog. And again, giving the backlink to another blog his owned. And continue with another new dummy blog….

After he got his target for the first/primary blog, then he continue to develop his second blog ( dummy blog before ) like his first blog. He start to make money from his second blog which has already has Backlink from the other dummy blog until he reaches his target, and so on…..

So, the main purpose of dummy blog created is supporting another blog by giving Backlink to increase Pagerank of another blog. And this dummy blog also can be use in the future as the primary blog for making money.

You can get the Backlink from your friend or the other blogger, but no body can guaranty that this Backlink can be permanent. But with the dummy blog, you can guaranty it because it is your blog and under your control.

Based on my experiment and research I learn that if you want to create the dummy blog with the Backlink purposes, you can use blogger/blogspot service because it’s free and already has big number of link. You only need to post around 20 post with the 3 days gap between post ( not paid review post ), your dummy blog will have Pagerank 3 ( based on 5 of my dummy blog PageRank, but I cannot guaranty and not responsibilities for breaking the Term of Service ).

I am not the expert in blogging or making money online business, but I try to be there. The question is what must I do? And what is the easy and fastest way to develop myself?

Today, I joined in my friend farewell party and speaking with my old and new friend. They were asking me about my current activities or jobs. I said that I work in one company in the day and blogging in the night. They were surprised and little bit confused. Then my old friend asked me about blogging and how to make money from it…

After half an hour explaining about blogging and how to make money from internet, I found that they were interested. After a minute, there was lot of question from them, and some of them try to found the strategy whether negative or positive way…

It’s really wonderful, I never thinking that the people who never know about blogging and SEO can have brilliant idea and strategy than me… So, I learned that sharing the information or knowledge to the other will improve my knowledge even sharing with the people without skill of it. This event also increases my motivation in sharing and helping the other to improve their skill or knowledge in making money online business.

When talking about the frequently of posting in the blogging, it’s always effecting the quality of the article itself.

Most of blogger especially the beginner, they will try will their best effort to write the article as much as possible with search engine and qualification for the advertisement purposes. But lot of them forgot about the quality of the article which is very important in building or improving the popularity of his/her blog. It is really big pressure for them ( including me before ) to fulfill this achievement.

Many experts said that to keep the visitor for staying as your readers and return in the future to your blog, you must have frequent post regularly. This issue makes the beginner blogger putting their attention to the quantity of the article in their blog.

In my view and understanding, the quantity is not more important than the quality of the article itself. The visitors or your readers need the information or something useful in your post. They not need your story; they need your knowledge or skill which can be used by them for improving their skill or ability on making money online.

I have facing this problem before and I start to look the information or something from the other blog regarding the priority between quantity and quality of the article in blogging. I found that there is lot of controversy among the experts or blogger for this kind of issue.

Some of blogger putting the quantity of article are the more important with the reasons for article indexing and attracting visitor in search engine result page (SERP). According to my review, this method is working nicely if your blog or site have high PageRank and you have lot of dummy blog which giving Backlink to your primary blog or site.

The other sites said that the quality of the article is the top priority for making the visitor happy and returning to your blog in another day and attracting the other blogger to link their article to your article. In my review, this method will be very useful and working nicely with the support from social media or social bookmarks, and also suitable for the beginner or new blog which has low PageRank and reader number.

For your attention, that was very nice if you can write the quality article frequently. If you have this skill, you will be a success blogger in short time. No doubt for it.

Since first time blogging and try to make money online, I have lot of challenge to keep myself blogging. I live in Aceh-Indonesia which has less knowledge for the internet. My friend and my colleague see the internet only for chatting via Skype or Yahoo Messenger and for sending the email to their partners.

I have started my internet carrier since October 2007 when I was jobless. By that time, I already know that there is lot of job offered in the internet. Then I start to search for a job there. I found that some blog or site mentioned that I can earn money from my home with the internet. I am really interested and start learning about these opportunities while I am waiting for the interview called.

I started to search by using Google search engine (Indonesia location) for make money online, then I found a lot of blog or site said they have earn money from the internet. I read them one by one, and I found that I have the ability and skill to learn it. I trust my self that if the other can earn means I can do it also.

It’s difficult to me for believing some thing before I check it deeper until I really sure with what I am dealing with. So, I continue to search by Google and Yahoo search engine ( wide world range ) for this making money online opportunities. The result is really making me satisfied and surer about these opportunities. Finally, I decided to give my best effort for make money online business.

Since first time in my make money online carrier, my wife said that I am dreaming and what I do is only waste my time. I have determined my self that I will show them some time. I really sure and believe that I will earn money from internet and will get enough or more revenue in internet marketing business.

In first two months, I got nothing. No any single dollar earned from my blog, I really frustrated. Then I receive a call from the company for interview which makes me confuse about my carrier in make money online. After the interview, the company calls me to start work by next month ( 15 days after). I started work in that company but still blogging in my free time ( night ).

On January 2008, I receive the email from PayPal mentioned that I got fund from Text-Link-Ads ( one of my sponsors ). I am really happy and proud to my self. this money earned only by giving some space in my blog and I didn’t need to work on it. Its make sense for me in my make money online carrier. Then I decided to put more attention to these opportunities.

I have $87 in my PayPal account and it’s from several sponsors. I show to my wife that I made it ( earn money from internet ). My wife still pessimist for it and said “It’s only in the internet and a number….. Show me that you get real money by transferring that money into your bank account, and then I will believe you and support you in making money from internet”. I try to transfer the money from PayPal to my Bank Account, but I got some problem by that time ( February 2008 ). Again, I frustrated and little bit down.

In the middle of April 2008, I was trying to transfer the money from PayPal to my bank account. Hei….. It works………… I am really happy and satisfied also proud to my self for my own patient in making money online.

Now, my wife fulfills her promise that she will give me full support for making money online. I told my friend about this thing, and they are started to make a blog to earn money from internet too. Finally I can show them that I made it and my conviction is not wrong.

So, making money online carrier needs a patient and strong conviction in your heart. Stick to your heart that you will success, but don’t forget that the obstacles will always come up in your journey to a success. Don’t see them as an obstacle, but see them as a leap to a success…… Do not give up for the thing you believe……

Long time was far away from blogging. I am really loss my idea to write the article when I need to do something which is very important and cannot be avoided ( new offer for my regular day job ). Now I am trying to concentrate and focusing on blogging even I don’t really know what the main thing or issue need to be follow or learn.

I opened my email and found lot of email comes in my inbox. I sort and delete lot of them which I think that was not necessary, and read most of the article from other blog and some newsletter. But… I really loss my idea and feel like a stupid man.

So, I decide to drop the entrecard to gain my ec ( entrecard credit ) in another blog. I also visiting and exploring to my discussion/forum site like Mylot, Yuwie, and Aceh Forum.  I hope that I can find the idea or something to write…

Suddenly, something cross in my mind. Hmmm….

1. Entrecard credit can be converting into the money by sell them in the market like eBay ( normally, 1000 ec = $4 )…
2. I only allow doing 300 drop in one day with entrecard ( for one entrecard Account)…
3. In Entrecard I can give my credit to the other user of entrecard…
4. Could I make dummy account in entrecard like dummy blog to get backlink…?
5. How about if I have more than one account…? may I drop and get 300 ec than transfer the ec to my entrecard main account which mean that the limit of 300 drop can be cheat….?

In Mylot, I learn that if one Mylot user can reach $1 a day ( without referral earning ) is really nice and hard work needed because he need to write 100 simple comment or post there.

But… In Entrecard, with normal method I can get 300 ec in 1 day mean 300ec = $1,3 . I think that easier and not need hard work except waiting for opening the other site. With manual way by opening the site in entrecard account, it’s take lot of time. So… I make list of site for dropping my entrecard like auts11.blogspot.com did, and with little help from firefox feature “linky”, I can make fast drop in 300 site (depend to the connection speed). I only need to wait and drop when one site opened than closed immediately after dropping my card there.

In the next step, I just close my first entrecard account and open my other entrecard account ( dummy account ) than repeat the step above (block 300 site in the list, use linky to open them than close it after dropping). Ahaa, another 300 ec…

Hmmm… How about if I have 10 or 20 entrecard dummy account…? Do you can imagine if you have 50 even more than a hundred entrecard dummy account, how much you can earn the ec or dollar…?

I have thinking for three days about how to increase the Backlink for my blog to raise the PageRank. I am really aware as well as you that the PageRank is very important in traffic purposes. As you know that the visitors who come from the search engine result page ( natural visitor ) is more valued than the visitor who come from the other sources ( generic visitor ) for the search engine optimization purposes.

As we know that the PageRank counted by the number of Backlink ( inbound link ) in the blog or site using the logarithm which is not too difficult to understand. Now, the question is how to get the Backlink?

There are lots of methods to increase your blog’s or site’s Backlink. As the other site mentioned that the easy way to get the Backlink is putting your comment in the other blogs or site. Yeah…. It’s very easy way and little effort needed only. But Wait…, do you remember about the “nofollow” plugin…? And do you aware about the decreasing possibility of PageRank of your blog or site because of losing the Backlink…?

Hmmm….. I am really sure that you as well as me always and will be always want our blog’s or site’s PageRank raise. For the long term of increasing PageRank purposes, I think that by leaving the comment in the other blog is not the best idea for getting the Backlink. In my research, I found that lots of blogs putting the “nofollow” instruction or plugin in their comment field which mean that you will not get the Backlink from their blog. However, the comment also can be deleted by the author of the blogs or sites for some purposes or reasons which mean that your Backlink from their blogs or sites will be loss, am I correct…?

Well… base on my experience that creating the dummy blog is more powerful than commenting in the other blogs to build the Backlink to blogs or sites. FYI, all the famous bloggers or webmasters have more than one or maybe not less than ten blogs or sites. You can make the dummy blog by using free domains like blogspot.com or wordpress.com. It’s really cost nothing to you except your time ( it’s cost also ) as far as you maintain it at least once a month or twice in three months. Even this method needs bigger effort than commenting in the other blogs, this method is very powerful and permanent. By this way, you control your Backlink with your own freedom. Yes…., its need big effort but give you more…

By the way, creating the dummy blog to build the Backlink also could be used for another purpose in the future. You can use them to do your research as I did. I would like to share with you regarding the creating the dummy blog tips, but I need to research some thing first ( I am so sorry ). I am a member of Entrecard since few weeks ago. I also trying the link exchange program called Spottt. I believe that these programs can give me more benefit.

Today, I check my traffic and visitor of my blog. I found that the Entrecard drive more traffic to my blog, but the Spottt didn’t. I disappointed and frustrated with Spottt which claimed that they can drive more users or traffic to my blog. However, I can understand that the Spottt is new and need to be developing more… Be honestly, my heart little bit happy with the Spottt report that my blog has been displayed for 945 times with 0 clicks.

945 times in 10 days….? I could say that the number is my page view in last 10 days. Then I was thinking about it…….. Finally I got one important thing which is very useful for the new blog or site to be share with.

The combination between Entrecard and Spottt is a great idea. You will get 2 things with only one action. You only need to do your regular dropping of your Entrecard to earn the ec (entre credit) and advertise your blog in the other entrecard member blog or site. The other entrecard member will follow for dropping their card in your blog by visiting your blog or site first. In that time, you will get the credit for your Spottt from the page view by the entrecard member… it’s a great thing right?

In the end of February, I got the email from one of my make money programs, Adbrite. They introduce me about their new link exchange program called Spottt. The Adbrite team claimed that this program can drive more users or traffic to my blog. Then I decided to check it out….

Actually, Spottt is a free link exchange service. They have a simple concept, they will lead the advertising or introduce or display ads in your site or blog for other member blog with 125 x 125 pixels ads.

In my opinion, this program almost has the same system like Entrecard. The difference is the Spottt fully automatic, but not better than Entrecard regarding driving the traffic to my blog.

You only need to insert small HTML code in your blog or site ( probably sidebar ). Then the Spottt time will review it for the approval, normally take 24 hours to approve your submission. After the Spottt approve your blog, they will start to promote or display the other member blog’s banner in your blog or site.

Spottt use the credit system for displaying the blog in other blogs. You will earn credit when the other blog’s banner displayed in your Spottt space, and its counted by page view normally.

As mentioned before, Spottt is fully automatic. you will display the other blog in your blog or site and also the other member blog will display your blog blog in his/her blog. It’s really fear ratio, 1 : 1.

If you have lot of visitor or page view in your blog or site means that you will earn lot of credit which will impact to the frequently of your blog or displayed in other blog.

High traffic is the requirement and the important thing to be a famous blog or site. But remember, you only allowed for dropping one time a day in one blog or site. When you have enough ec (entre credit) in your Entrecard account, you can advertise your blog in other blogs or sites.

How the traffic increase with Entrecard? The entire members of Entrecard need to have an enough ec (entre credit) to be able to advertise his blog in other blogs or sites. It’s means that they need to visit the other blog ( hope that your blog or site included ) to drop their card, this means traffic to your blog right?
